Case, Zeres

One digital foundation for Zero Emission Services.

Zeres lets charging point owners automatically earn from avoided CO2 emissions. That requires trust, clear explanation of complex regulation, and technology that quietly does its job. Varelon Studio builds and runs the complete digital foundation.

The challenge

Complex regulation, made understandable

Anyone with a charging point at home or at work can earn from every kilowatt hour charged, through Dutch emission regulation. But between that right and an actual payout sit registrations, checks and trading on the emissions market. For the average charging point owner, that world is impenetrable.

Zeres needed a partner who could carry that whole story digitally: from the first website visit to the quarterly payout report, and from customer onboarding to the compliance workflow in the back office.

The solution

Everything from one hand, in one design language

The public website explains in plain language how earning works and guides visitors to sign-up. In the customer portal, customers connect their charging point, follow per quarter what was charged, registered and paid out, and see exactly how every amount is built up.

Behind it runs a back office for the Zeres team: customer management, the compliance workflow, registrations, reports and payouts in one system. We also take care of the app and marketing, so brand, product and growth come from the same hand.

Compliance you can explain to your neighbour: that was the bar. One ERE stands for one kilogram of avoided CO2, and the rest had to feel just as simple.
